Here are just a few highlights of the work I’ve done:
As a producer…
Produced this visual poem for Hinterland Studios, Elegy, The Long Dark featuring Academy Award winning actor Christopher Plummer as the narrator, directed by Jared Pelletier, with cinematography by Kiel Milligan.
Work I have produced has been featured in industry trades such as Adweek (twice!), AdAge’s Creativity-Online, BrandChannel, and Ads of the World, as well as consumer publications like USAToday, The Atlantic, CNN, and Quartz. Bonus: this hilariously scathing review in GQ
I helped create the contest winning pitch for BAIT. It was one of less 10 funded projects that year, out of 150+ entries.
I was one of the producers that lead BAIT through its evolution to its final form as the Rockzeline/StudioCanal SF mystery series Seraphim . It was featured on Canal+ digital platform across Europe, and had its Canadian debut on the Illico digital platform. Notable cast included Cara Gee, and Julian Richings.
I helped produce this series pitch trailer (including writing and performing the narration), and was later privileged to help develop a bible for an early iteration of the series.
I helped produce Russet Season, the first short film directed by Canadian acting icon Sheila McCarthy, starring Bram Morrison in his first dramatic role, Wynonna Earp/Workin’ Moms actor Varun Saranga, and co-written by bestselling author Tish Cohen.
I helped cast, produce and was featured as an actor in the official Beach Boys video for their release California Feeling.
I’m also a director, trained in Broadcast Radio/TV from Seneca College.
I’m directing our work at Boots On The Moon Media, such as this brand video for the Charlotteville Brewing Company.
I directed the award-winning surreal circus comic shorts, The Rebeccas, which have been featured in film and web series festivals around the world, from Austin, Texas, USA to Dublin, Ireland. The Rebecca’s most recent win was for Best New Media Shorts at the 2018 Miami Beach Film Fest.
I trained as an actor at the University of Guelph, and then as a TV/radio host at Seneca College, but it wasn’t until 2011 that I decided to pursue the craft professionally. Since then I’ve booked over 70 roles with 36 imDb credits. I was a member of ACTRA from 2014-2018, but left to pursue independent film roles and social media projects. I’ve played everything from goofy Dad’s in national commercial campaigns to hardened soldiers and cynical detectives in narrative work. On stage, I’ve portrayed a range of characters, from Fagin in Oliver! to the count himself in Dracula, to Lenny in Neil Simon’s farce Rumours. As an actor, I often find a way to bring a hint of comic undertone, dark or otherwise, to every character I play.
I’ve been a digital pioneer since 1997, first creating this e-zine, then the hospitality niche site Restaurant Voice, and finally the expert advice site The Sideroad. I have more than 20 years experience on the internet, with everything from online advertising to content creation.
